Egitex Wildscales Series: Slimy Mackerel

The Egitex Wildscales Series is a unique collection of squid jigs inspired by prey chased by the Southern Calamari (Sepioteuthis australis). It is a lure that is specifically designed for local Australian waters.

These lures have been built on a smooth, hydrophobic and ink resistant cloth. The composition of this cloth allows us to express the details of our design with deadly precision and also features a natural sheen for a more natural look! 

Egitex Egi-Flash: 

Egi-Flash is a unique sun light  reflection and filteration technology patented in Australia. It utilises a special internal film inside the jig to create green flashes of light, whilst allowing excess  light to pass through to create a pink glow. This creates a combination of ultraviolet-reactive reflection  and a luminous effect, mimicking prey  and triggering the squid's natural predatory instincts.

Our lures now feature a tail fin design, improving their hydrodynamic performance and stablise sinking rates.
